Artist's Comments

Since getting my macro lens (Tamron 90mm f/2.8) I have wanted to take a close up bird shot with it. I have toyed with the idea of rigging up the tripod next to a feeder and firing remotely, but I haven't actually bothered to try. Anyway, whilst walking around Canterbury, we got peckish and stopped for a pasty. We found the only available bench in the sun and tucked in, only to find some little Sparrows waiting for crumbs about two feet away. Needless to say, the macro lens came out.

Full shot ish - just a tiny crop off the left, resized.
