Artist's Comments

I have sat on this pic for a few months, wondering whether to up it or not.

It is a candid shot of someone unknown to me that I saw in a graveyard one lunchtime.

I have wondered what he was thinking ever since I took it and figured some people on here might like it.

Beautifully done...
The photo gives the impression of the much needed space this individual probably craved at the time..
Being that it is in a graveyard one could summise he was thinking of someone lost to him...
The feeling of just wanting to be alone, with his own thoughts and memories...
As I said, beautifully shot..

So evocative.... great picture sir!!!
well shot Kentster   It is very evocative. It is very sad, as he looks very full of sad thoughts :-( But, I think it is a very good photo and love the B&W . I could never 'do' people photos, 'cos I would feel like I was taking something from them. But, that is just me, it is not how I feel about other people taking people photos, so it is good that you submitted it, and lovely that you put a lot of thought into it before submitting it. You are a good guy Mr CMK :#1:

Aww thanks. I did wrestle with my concience for a long time over this one, as I did think I was stealing a private moment... but life is too short to get hung up on such things forever I guess. It still don't feel totally right to post it, but it seems to feel less wrong as time goes by. I am waffling now. I shall goto bed. Night.

Night night! You are right, and I think you are great for being sensitive to other people. But, 'street' photography is a legitimate thing - look at all the photos cweeks chooses as DD's - exactly that kind of photography - I hope he pics yours as a DD :fingerscrossed:. There is nothing wrong with it, I just could not do it myself - but I am a big wuss - I even say "thank you" to the birds I photograph!!!!

Aww that's nic eof you to say. I doubt it will get picked - it has to get nominated anyway by someone, so I doubt cweeks will stumble across it by random.

I think that is a bice touch - thanking the birds! Schweet
